Usher has had a very eventful week. Following his exciting halftime show at the Super Bowl, the R&B singer wed Jennifer Jean Goicoechea in Las Vegas on Sunday.
According to Lydia Kanuga, an Usher publicist, “We can confirm that Usher and Jennifer Goicoechea took the next step in their relationship and did get married on Sunday night in Las Vegas surrounded by close friends and family,” “They both look forward to continuing to raise their children together surrounded by love and thank everyone for the well wishes.”
A court record states that Ms. Goicoechea and Usher Raymond IV were wed in a downtown Las Vegas chapel called Vegas Weddings. The celebrant, Ronald Joseph Pokrywka, also known as Ron DeCar, has been officiating Elvis-themed marriages since the mid-1990s.According to Mr. DeCar, officiating Usher’s Elvis-themed wedding was a “highlight” of his career. Usher’s mother, Jonnetta Patton, was present as a witness.
In a statement, Vegas Weddings president Melody Willis-Williams stated, “We were beyond thrilled to host in this epic day for Usher and his new wife.” On Thursday, the pair paid the Clark County Marriage License Bureau for their marriage license.
September 2020 marked the birth of Sovereign Bo, Usher’s 45-year-old daughter, and Ms. Goicoechea, 40, a senior vice president at Epic Records. September 2021 saw the birth of Sire Castrello, their son.
Usher showcased his dancing and even glided around the stage on roller skates as he sang over a dozen of his songs, including the classic singles “You Don’t Have to Call” and “Confessions Part II,” during his thrilling halftime act. He summoned fellow Atlantan musicians Jermaine Dupri, Ludacris, and Lil Jon to the stage for a hometown tribute, and he did a private duet of “My Boo” with Alicia Keys.

The newlyweds arrived looking stunning in all white, with Ms. Goicoechea wearing an off-the-shoulder jumpsuit and Usher wearing a floor-length fur coat. Tim Cook, Victoria Monét, and Central Cee were among the attendees at the after-party.
Usher and his ex-wife Tameka Foster also have two sons, Usher V and Naviyd Ely. He was previously wed to Grace Harry in 2015 and to Ms. Foster in 2007 and 2009.
