The BMW importer presents a challenge with the new X2, a second generation crossover that competes with rivals that use gasoline and electricity. It is priced at NIS 310,000 for gasoline and NIS 360,000 for electric power.
Two driving versions of the BMW X2, which is the brand-new “coupé-crossover” shape for the X1, have arrived in Israel. As with the X3 and X1 in the 5 series, 7 series, and other models, BMW is continuing to provide identical cars with gasoline and electric propulsion in this second generation of the model.
The sleek and clean lines of the external design complement the modern look of BMW vehicles, but the large—some would even argue too big—grill is what draws most attention. The new model is bigger than the outgoing one, measuring 4.55 cm in length (a 19 cm increase), 1.84 cm in width (a 2 cm increase), and 6.5 cm in height (a 159 cm increase). There has been a 2 cm increase in the wheelbase to 2.69 meters, and a 45 liter rise in the cargo compartment to 515 liters.
Instead of using the iDrive system to operate automobile functions inside the passenger compartment, this variant uses a 10.25-inch multimedia screen. Together with the 10.25-inch instrument panel, the entry-level electric propulsion model’s “Design” finishing levels offer a sunroof, an electric cargo compartment opening, LED lighting, adaptive suspension, wireless phone charging, an electric driver’s seat adjustment, split climate control with rear vents, phone-controlled opening, and more.
The finishing level is more simple in the petrol-powered entry-level model and lacks wireless charging, non-adaptive LED lighting, power folding side mirrors, and adaptive suspension. The higher-end finishing levels, known as M Sport in all variants, come with 19-inch wheels, an improved sound system, full M Sport design packages, and power passenger seat adjustment, among other features.
