There are plenty of distinctions between Josh Brolin and Peter Dinklage in the first trailer for the comedy film Brothers.
A week after its October 10 theatrical release through Amazon MGM Studios, director Max Barbakow’s film becomes available for streaming on Prime Video. The remaining cast members include Brendan Fraser, Glenn Close, Taylour Paige, M. Emmet Walsh, and Jennifer Landon.
The plot of Brothers revolves around two criminal siblings who decide to go on a chaotic road trip together in order to pull off one more crime.
In the teaser, Brolin says, “I am finished stealing shit.” Dinklage replies, “Let’s do this one and split,” in response to this.
The story is credited to Etan Cohen, and Barbakow directed the movie based on a Macon Blair script. Legendary Pictures producers Brolin, Dinklage, Andrew Lazar, and David Ginsberg are involved in the production.
Dinklage previously discussed the beginnings of the project in a Collider interview. “Me and Josh Brolin play brothers,” the actor declared at the time. “The origin of how we made this movie is, we pitched it to studios because a friend of his said, ‘You and Dinklage both have really big heads. You guys should play brothers.’”
For Amazon MGM Studios, Barbakow is slated to create and direct a body-swap comedy film starring Jennifer Aniston and Julia Roberts. He gained notoriety as the director of the 2020 sci-fi comedy Palm Springs, starring Andy Samberg.
Among Brolin’s most recent credits are the television shows Outer Range and the Dune trilogy. Dinklage voiced a character in Wicked’s upcoming theatrical adaption in addition to appearing in The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes from last year.
