Google has officially begun rolling out its Gemini Live screensharing and live camera features to Pixel 9 series and Samsung Galaxy S25 devices. The powerful new update brings real-time interaction with your environment through the AI-powered Gemini assistant — but it’s only available for Gemini Advanced subscribers.
With the latest update, users can activate a live camera mode and ask Gemini questions about whatever the phone sees. Whether it’s identifying fish at an aquarium or analyzing artwork, Gemini Live responds with instant insights using your phone’s camera. You can also tap a new screenshare button, letting Gemini analyze websites or apps on your screen, offering advice, comparisons, or suggestions — perfect for shopping, browsing, or even getting fashion tips.
These features were first showcased at Google I/O under Project Astra and are now rolling out globally in 45 languages, although they are limited to users aged 18+ and currently exclude education and enterprise accounts.
While only available on Pixel 9 and Galaxy S25 for now, support for more Android devices is expected soon. Some early users on Reddit even reported seeing the update on select Xiaomi phones, hinting at a wider release on the horizon.
As AI continues to integrate with everyday mobile experiences, Gemini Live pushes the boundary of what’s possible — combining computer vision, real-time interaction, and conversational intelligence in one seamless experience.
