Apple enthusiasts and digital artists have reason to celebrate as the tech giant has officially launched its more affordable Apple Pencil, offering precision, low latency, and versatile functionality to elevate the digital note-taking and sketching experience.
Designed with the hallmark Apple finesse, the new Apple Pencil boasts pixel-perfect accuracy, reduced latency, and tilt sensitivity, making it a versatile tool for a range of tasks, including note-taking, sketching, annotating, journaling, and more. The device’s sleek matte finish and a flat side allow it to magnetically attach to the side of the iPad for convenient storage. The Apple Pencil pairs seamlessly with your device and can be charged using a USB-C cable.
Starting today, the new Apple Pencil is available for order at the Apple Store and Apple’s official website, with a price tag of $79 (U.S.). Customers across 33 countries and regions, including the U.S., can now place their orders, ensuring swift access to this innovative accessory. In addition to online orders, the new Apple Pencil will also be available for purchase in physical Apple Stores, starting this week.
The new Apple Pencil offers the same advanced features that customers have come to love in the previous models. This includes pixel-perfect precision, minimal latency, and support for tilt sensitivity, setting a gold standard for digital sketching and note-taking. This new iteration is perfectly attuned to the capabilities of iPadOS, making it a seamless companion for features like Scribble, Notes, and collaborative work in Freeform. When paired with M2 iPad Pro models, it introduces Apple Pencil hover support, delivering even greater precision for users.
The Apple Pencil’s convenient design features a non-removable sliding cap, revealing a USB-C port. This innovation allows customers to use a USB-C cable to connect and pair the new Apple Pencil with all iPad models sporting a USB-C connector. Furthermore, when the Apple Pencil is magnetically attached to the iPad for storage, it intelligently enters a sleep state to conserve battery life, ensuring it’s always ready when you need it.
The introduction of the new Apple Pencil expands the possibilities for digital handwriting, annotation, and document markup, adding value to the Apple ecosystem. Customers now have the flexibility to select the perfect Apple Pencil variant based on their desired features and their iPad model. iPad (10th generation) users can opt for either the new Apple Pencil or the Apple Pencil (1st generation). On the other hand, iPad Pro, iPad Air, and iPad mini owners can choose between the new Apple Pencil and the Apple Pencil (2nd generation).
