Audi RS Q8 Achieves a New Nürburgring Record in Performance

Although Audi is renowned for producing a variety of stylish and athletic premium cars, the sportiness is most prominently displayed in the Audi Sport RS models. Within Audi’s collection of opulent SUVs, the Audi RS Q8 represents the pinnacle of performance. A recent update to the model adds a new variation, which already has an amazing record.

For the 2025 model year, the new Audi RS Q8 has undergone updates. A more refined iteration of the renowned premium performance SUV, the Audi RS Q8 performance, has also been unveiled by Audi. The 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine in the base Audi RS Q8 produces 592 horsepower, while the upgraded model produces 631 horsepower. It defies its SUV appearance as a sporty sports machine equipped with adaptive air suspension, a self-locking central differential, and standard all-wheel drive for both variants.

23-inch wheels add a sporty touch and are standard on the RS Q8, but available on the performance model. Their lightweight alloy design allows them to weigh 11 pounds less than the 22-inch wheels that come standard. Sakhir Gold, Chili Red, and Ascari Blue are some of the new exterior hues. In addition, the interior can be customized with red or gray design packages; the RS Q8 performance can also have a distinctive blue package. Other unique interior lighting elements set the upgraded model apart.

A particular highlight of the new Audi RS Q8 performance is the record-breaking time it set at the Nürburgring Nordschleife. Driving the new RS Q8 performance, racer Frank Stippler finished the course in 7:36.998 minutes, 2 seconds faster than the previous record for SUVs, off-roaders, or pickup trucks. The new Audi RS Q8 is redesigned as one of the best luxury performance SUVs in the world, thanks to an improved overall performance strategy and the aggressive increased power of the performance variation.
