Brooklyn Nets’ Kevin Durant out versus Los Angeles Lakers; Kyrie Irving accessible to play

The Brooklyn Nets will be without Kevin Durant for Thursday’s game against the Los Angeles Lakers yet will have Kyrie Irving back in the lineup.

Durant is missing his third sequential game with a left hamstring strain. He went with the Nets on their five-game road trip and keeps on getting treatment.

Brooklyn at first said Durant would miss at least two games. The team has called Durant’s strain “mild.”

Ivring, who missed Tuesday’s game against Phoenix with lower back tightness, was upgraded from plausible to accessible for Thursday’s game.

The Nets’ Big Three of Durant, Irving and James Harden have played just seven games together. Durant has missed 11 of the Nets’ 30 games.

Subsequent to being sidelined for the entirety of the 2019-20 season with an Achilles injury, Durant is averaging 29 points, 7.3 rebounds and 5.3 assists.
