General Motors has officially confirmed that the 2024 Chevy Silverado will make its way to Argentina, the South American nation, just one month after a top company executive declared that the venerable Chevrolet truck will eventually make its way there in 2019.
It has been confirmed by the automaker that the full-size pickup will be one of Chevrolet’s novelties for the Argentine domestic market next year when it presents the 2024 Chevy Silverado this week at the annual automotive fair in the town of Cariló, Argentina. In this regard, the brand’s official stand at the event will feature the 2024 Silverado from December 26 to February 13 of the following year.
GM Argentina’s Commercial Director, Raúl Mier, stated, “Cariló is transformed into an open-air automobile show and it is a unique opportunity that we love to use to serve our customers throughout Argentina.” “In this edition, we are going to once again excite fans of Chevrolet pickups with our top expression in that segment, the legendary Silverado, for which we are working intensely to incorporate it into our product line as soon as possible,” he continued.
Interestingly, this is the third time that GM Argentina has displayed the fourth-generation Chevy Silverado at the Cariló auto show. The truck was first displayed at the event two years in a row, in the summer of 2019–2020 in the south, and then in the 2020–2021 edition with a diesel engine. This time, the model’s mid-cycle update is present when the 2024 Chevy Silverado enters the nation.
The company did not provide any information regarding the exact configuration of the pickup that it will showcase this week in Cariló, but it is anticipated that the 2024 Chevy Silverado will be on display in the Crew Cab High Country variant, which has already received approval for the Brazilian market. GM Argentina’s initial official image appears to indicate as much, as it bears a striking resemblance to the model that is being delivered to Brazil.
From this week until the first part of February 2024, the entire summer season in the southern nation of Argentina will find the 2024 Chevy Silverado on display at the Chevrolet stand at Parque Cariló. The Bow Tie brand will provide two test drive loops—urban and off-road—in addition to the static display so that customers can enjoy the advantages of the current Chevy Tracker, Equinox, Montana, S10, and TrailBlazer.
