The 49-year-old two-time Oscar winner looked stunning on the red carpet in a Vivienne Westwood Made-to-Order gown with a draped corset. Soft makeup was applied to the romantic off-the-shoulder scarlet red crepe satin gown.
Her stunning side-swept hair highlighted her stunning platinum Kwiat 3.5 ct round brilliant-cut diamond stud earrings. A Fred Leighton Antique Ruby and Diamond Navette Cluster ring completed the ensemble for Swank.
The first trailer for the film, which stars Swank as a “fierce but struggling hairdresser” named Sharon who finds a “renewed sense of purpose” after meeting a widower named Ed (Alan Ritchson), was exclusively released by PEOPLE in May 2023.
“With his youngest daughter waiting for a liver transplant, Sharon sets her mind to helping the family and will move mountains to do it,” The film’s summary states, “What unfolds is the inspiring tale of faith, everyday miracles, and ordinary angels,”
Alongside Tamala Jones, Amy Acker, Drew Powell, Skywalker Hughes, and Emily Mitchell, the film is directed by Jon Gunn.
Swank revealed that after her father, Stephen Michael Swank, passed away in October 2021, the movie took on even greater significance for her during an appearance on the Today show earlier this month.
“My father was a recipient of a lung transplant so organ donation is a big, big thing to me and talking about it. This movie came about three months after my dad passed, so I got this opportunity, I feel like it was sent by my dad, and to tell a movie about an extraordinary human being and family…. The actress remarked, ” I think it would have been my dad’s favorite movie of mine,”
Swank’s career paused from 2014 to 2017 while she assisted her dad in undergoing and recuperating from a lung transplant.
In an Instagram post dated December 2021 announcing his passing, Swank discussed the lessons she had learned from being his only caregiver.
“In this physical loss, as devastating as it is, I was awakened to the truest sense of living again. It helped me better understand the circle of life and where we come from and where we go back to, which has connected me back to my truest self. It helped me forgive, to move past the things that hold me back, in whatever form that takes each day. As well as being deeply connected to the Ultimate Source and therefore, my Dad, always,” the caption said.
In April 2023, Swank and her spouse, Philip Schneider, welcomed their twins, a male named Ohm and a girl named Aya. Swank eventually revealed the names of her 10-month-old kids along with a photo of them on the beach on Valentine’s Day.
