Numerous people have recently boarded the upcoming Paramount’s upcoming Transformers: Rise of the Beasts plays Scourge, Liza Koshy plays Arcee, John DiMaggio plays Stratosphere, David Sobolov plays Rhinox/Battletrap, Michaela Jaé Rodriguez plays Nightbird, Cristo Fernández plays Wheeljack, and Tobe Nwigwe plays Reek in Rise of the Beasts.
In the Steven Caple Jr.-directed next installment of the franchise, they all join previously announced Anthony Ramos, Dominique Fishback, Michelle Yeoh (as Airazor), Pete Davidson (as Mirage), Peter Cullen (as Optimus Prime), and Ron Perlman (as Optimus Primal). On June 9, 2023, the film opens in cinemas.
Joby Harold wrote the screenplay with Darnell Metayer, Josh Peters, Erich Hoeber, and Jon Hoeber. Harold also wrote the story. The new film will take crowds on a ’90s globetrotting experience with the Autobots and present an entirely different type of Transformer – the Maximals – to the current fight on earth between Autobots and Decepticons.

DiMaggio has appeared in AppleTV+’s Mythic Quest, AMC’s Better Call Saul, Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire, and a number of projects as a voiceover actor, including Futurama, Disenchantment, The Loud House, Ben 10, and Adventure Time.
In addition to voicing Blitzwing in Paramount’s Bumblebee, Sobolov also provided voices for Ben 10, What If?, and the animated series The Guardians of the Galaxy. among numerous others.
Rodriguez has appeared in Luke Cage, Pose, Loot, Nurse Jackie, and the film tick, tick…Boom! directed by Lin-Manuel Miranda.
